A worrying new datum warns us that there will be more violent storms, rain and strong winds and flooding in the world in the short term.

This figure refers to the ocean, which is now between 8 and 15 ZettaJoules warmer than in 2022.
ZettaJoules are a relative unit of measurement that expresses a certain amount of energy.

According to scientists, it is likely that the Ocean has never been so warm in the last 1000 years and is warming at a rate not seen in the last 2000 years. The Mediterranean Sea also appears to be the warmest warming basin in 2023, reaching the highest value since records began.

The study, published in the journal Advances in Atmospheric Science’, reminds us that the strong increase also affects water stratification and salinity. Salty areas are becoming increasingly salty, with consequences for marine life. The origins of these anomalies are due to the man-made climate crisis with fossil fuels.
